Award Day Information

MMPC Award Day will be on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Saginaw Valley State University. Gathering and talks will be held in the Regional Education Center (#35 on SVSU's map).

 The schedule is as follows:

  • 2:00pm: Gathering and talks will be held in the Ott Auditorium at the Regional Education Center (#35 on the map), Saginaw Valley State University. 
  • 2:20pm: Welcome, Hasan Al-Halees, MMPC Director
  • 2:30pm: 1st Talk; "Energy Methods for Energy Conversion: Life is about flowing down hill", Professor Keith s. Promislow, Department of Mathematics, Michigan State University.
  • 3:30pm: Break  2nd Talk: 
  • 4:00pm: 2nd Talk; Mathematics: what, why and how?, Professor Lizhen Ji, Department of Mathematics, University of Michigan.
  • 5:00pm Adjourn
  • 5:30pm: The Banquet, Seminar Rooms D, E, F, and G, 2nd floor of Curtiss Hall (#9 on the map)
  • 5:50pm: Deborah Huntley, Dean, College of Science Engineering & Technology
  • 6:00pm: Dinner
  • 7:00pm: Awards
  • 9:00pm: End of Program
